PASS CHRISTIAN Early Learning Collaborative KEEP YOUR STATE TAX DOLLARS LOCAL! HIGH-QUALITY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION IS IMPORTANT. Pre-K is not mandatory in the state of Mississippi. Districts that choose to offer state-funded Pre-K only receive funding for half of the amount that it costs to educate each child. Pass Christian School District currently has five Pre-K classes where we have the ability to serve up to 100 four-year-olds in our community at no cost to parents. As an Early Learning Collaborative, we must match the funds provided to us by the state. One way we can do this is through the support of our community taking advantage of the Prekindergarten Credit. By making a contribution to the Pass Christian Early Learning Collaborative, you are eligible for a 1:1 Mississippi state tax credit and will be keeping your tax dollars in our community. Your contribution will be a direct investment in preparing our youngest students for educational success. Upon receipt of your contribution, we will respond with an acknowledgment letter. A donation certificate will follow from the Mississippi Department of Education. When filing taxes, simply submit a copy of the donation certificate with form 80-401.
