About
Pass Christian Public School District in Mississippi offers high-quality education programs with a focus on academic excellence and equal opportunities for all students.
The Pass Christian Early Learning Collaborative has three sites: Pass Christian Elementary School, DeLisle Elementary School, and Doyle Moffett Head Start. It has served 100 four-year-olds since its founding in 2022.
The opportunity to become an early learning collaborative allows us to extend our PreK program by opening an additional class of 20 students in our community. It also provides us with the opportunity to partner with MAP Head Start to provide high-quality early childhood education to the students that are being served on their campus. The opportunity for our teachers to collaborate on best practices is a tremendous asset. It is important for our community to be a part of the early learning collaborative as we have a shared vision that early childhood education is critical to a child’s overall success.
The mission of the Pass Christian Public School District, in partnership with families and community, is to empower all learners to be college-career ready, critical thinkers, and contributing citizens.
The early childhood years are a critical time in the development for every child. The learning that takes place during the first eight years of life serves as the foundation for all later academic, social, emotional, physical, and motor development. All children are capable of learning and meeting developmental milestones.
